The Solvay Physics Conference, held in Brussels, Belgium,
October 22-29, 1933. Attendees included two future key Manhattan Project scientists (Fermi and Lawrence), the future head of the Nazi
atomic bomb program (Heisenberg), and numerous leading pre-war
