up for a STRIPES account?

Q: Do I need to register in CHRIS for Computer Based Training (CBTs)?
A: No; however, registering in CHRIS ensures your training is reflected in your
personnel file and you may get credit under the Acquisition Career Development Program. Click

If you are not interested in tracking training in your personnel file, there is no need to register
in
CHRIS.
Q: What is a SPOC and who is my SPOC?
A: A Site Point of Contact, or SPOC, is an appointed or nominated person at your
office with whom the STRIPES project team interacts to bring you the latest STRIPES inromation..
Your SPOC will provide you with STRIPES updates and will be the person to contact if you
have any questions.

Training on STRIPES is being provided in a number of different ways. Basic familiarizaiton can be
otained by completing the Simulations. More detailed information which is targeted to specific audiences
is
available through the Online Learning Center 2 (OLC2). Lastly, classroom training has been developed
and is being delivered to persons in the acquisition career field, e.g., 1102 and 1105. Key program
office users are joining the acquisition personnel on a space available basis. Follow the links below

Q: What is Instrument Reconstruction?
A: Instrument Reconstruction can be defined as creating a STRIPES record of an
existing award instrument (contract or grant) to enable processing of future actions modifications
or amendments against the instrument within STRIPES
from that
point
forward. Reconstruction
establishes an existing award instrument in STRIPES for the purpose of making ongoing modifications
or amendments. Reconstruction will occur at each site prior to that specific site’s deployment
date.
