The Standard Accounting and Reporting System (STARS) provides the Department with a modern, comprehensive, and responsive financial management system that is the foundation for linking budget formulation, budget execution, financial accounting, financial reporting, cost accounting, and performance measurement. The STARS project managers worked with the iManage Program Office to revise the STARS project plans to accommodate an accounting system design that fully supports direct linkage to a data warehouse populating with financial information for reporting and ad hoc queries.
