Introduction

The following documents reflect the Department of Energy's FY 2000 Budget Request to Congress.

Summary Budget Documents

Budget Highlights (956k) — The highlights is a textual summarization of the Department's budget request.

Performance Plan (460k) — The plan reflects the Department's proposed performance goals for FY 2000 as well as the finalized goals for FY 1999.

Summary Table (17k) — This is a short tabular summarization of the request by appropriation account, business line, and first tier organization. This file also includes the outyear budget estimates for each appropriation and organization.

Control Table — This is a somewhat longer tabular summarization of the request at the level we call decision units. It is available in order by appropriation account (83k) or in first tier organization order (104k).

Statistical Table (114k) — This table shows the budget request at the level at which Congress controls our spending. In most areas, it is more detailed than the Control table.

Laboratory Table (preliminary) (319k) — The lab table is a tabular summarization at the control table level of detail broken out by the various laboratories at which DOE does work.

State Table (preliminary) (341k) — The state table is like the lab table, except broken out by each state in which DOE does work, rather than by laboratory.
