Budget and Reporting Classification Codes
Budget and Reporting (B&R) Classification Codes correlate with DOE activities and are used for the reporting of obligations, costs, and revenues by DOE field offices, the formulation of budgets, and the controlling and measuring of actual (versus budgeted) performance. The B&R code is a nine character code segregated as follows:
| Program | Subprogram | Category | Task | Subtask |
| xx | xx | xx | xx | x |
B&R information and reports are used by members of DOE's Accounting, Budget, Program Office, and Field organizations to view and maintain B&R Information.
